Affiliate disclosure
BasketballShoeSpecs participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, BasketballShoeSpecs earns from qualifying purchases.
What this means in plain English
When you click a "Check Price on Amazon" button on this site and complete a purchase on Amazon, we may receive a small commission. The price you pay is identical to what you'd pay if you went to Amazon directly — the commission comes out of Amazon's revenue, not yours.
What it does not mean
- We do not accept paid review placement. No brand, retailer, or affiliate network has paid us to feature any specific product on this site.
- We do not write subjective product reviews. Our content is structured around manufacturer-published specs, comparison tables, and interactive tools. If you want our personal opinion of a shoe, this isn't the site for it.
- We do not quote live Amazon prices in body copy. Amazon's Operating Agreement forbids stale prices, and prices change daily. Click through to see the current price.
- We do not use scraped Amazon product images. Product images on this site come from manufacturer media kits, our own asset library, or licensed stock photography.
How we choose what to feature
Every shoe in our database is selected because it meets at least one of these criteria: (a) it's a current performance basketball shoe in active retail; (b) it's a notable retro or Protro release with documented specs; (c) it's a heritage silhouette with cultural significance and continued availability. We don't feature counterfeits, "AAA replicas" or any product whose authenticity we can't verify against a manufacturer source.
Editorial independence
BasketballShoeSpecs is owned and operated by JR Digital Services (ABN 15 677 761 787). We have no parent company, holding company or investor that influences our editorial choices. Decisions about what to publish, how to rank in our hubs, and how to score shoes in our tools are made by the editorial team alone.
If you have questions about our commercial relationships or feel we've fallen short of FTC guidance, please email hello@basketballshoespecs.com.
