Brand-by-brand sizing notes

Modern Air Jordan retros (AJ4, AJ5, AJ11) are the most-cited "run small" silhouette in basketball footwear — Jordan Brand uses a slightly shorter last for these models. The Air Jordan 1 retro and most AJ Lows run true to size, which is why guidance differs even within Jordan.

Under Armour's Curry line uses a notably narrow forefoot — wide-footed players consistently go up a half size, even though Under Armour markets it as TTS.

Anta and Li-Ning use Asia sizing as the base; converted US sizing typically runs a half size long compared to Nike's last. Going down half is the standard recommendation.

Width fitments matter more than length adjustments past US 11 — narrow lasts cause rotation under sharp lateral cuts, which is the leading cause of "blister at the inner ankle" complaints.
