Curry Brand under Under Armour
Curry signed with Under Armour in 2013 and the line eventually spun out into Curry Brand (a sub-brand of UA) in 2020. The line’s design vocabulary leans away from traditional basketball footwear — minimalist uppers, Flow no-rubber outsoles, lifestyle-crossover silhouettes.
Flow — the Curry-line cushioning
Flow is UA’s outsole-replacing supercritical compound — exceptionally light, very minimal court feel, indoor-only traction. It’s been the cushioning of every Curry main-line release since the Curry 8 (2020). For shooters who prioritise weight savings and instant reactivity, Flow is unmatched.
Curry 12 — the current flagship
Flow + UA HOVR. Low-cut, narrow last, weight ~13.0 oz. Best-fit player: shooter-priority guard. Note: Flow outsoles do not perform on outdoor surfaces.
Curry 11 — the Flow flagship predecessor
Pure Flow, low-cut, narrow last. Slightly older spec but still a strong shooter-priority pick. Often available at clearance pricing.
Curry Spawn FloTro — the retro line
FloTro is the Curry Brand retro program — re-engineered earlier silhouettes with modern cushioning. The Spawn FloTro is a retro of the Curry 4 era. Mid-cut, rounder fit than the main line.
Width and sizing
All Curry-line shoes run narrow. Wide-footed players go up half a size or move to a wider-last brand. Check our sizing helper for cross-brand calibration.
Indoor-only consideration
Flow outsoles are essentially zero-traction on outdoor surfaces. If you ever play asphalt or concrete, the Curry main line is the wrong choice — look at the Curry HOVR Splash or older Charged-cushioning Curry retros.
